Pulmonary Services at Southern Ocean County Hospital offer a wide
scope of services to patients of all ages, from newborns to older
adults and features board certified pulmonologists and highly trained,
licensed respiratory therapists dedicated to improving the lives
of patients suffering from lung conditions.
Respiratory Care at SOCH features:
- Arterial blood gas analysis and Pulse Oximetry as routine diagnostic
procedures. Therapeutic modalities include oxygen therapy, ventilator
management, administration of inhaled medications, chest physical
therapy and deep breathing exercises.
- The state-of-the-art Pulmonary Function Lab contains computerized
equipment used to diagnose lung disease.
- The SOCH Center for Sleep Medicine offers comprehensive diagnostic
evaluation and treatments for a wide variety of sleep disorders
The Pulmonary Rehabilitation Program, Breathing Made Easier
The Pulmonary Rehabilitation program blends exercise, education,
support and breathing retraining to design individualized programs
tailored to each member's needs and includes a multi-faceted team
of healthcare professionals working to improve the breathing of
those suffering from lung conditions.
